About Me
My greatest passion centers around methods of healing, and assisting others with introspective investigation. I like to form close relationships with yoga students and assist them on their journey to open hamstrings, a pain free back, and a life of fulfillment and joy.
My journey with the practice of yoga began while I was a University student. A group of friends invited me to joint them at a Friday night yoga class. They believed that it was the best therapy after a mentally and emotionally taxing week of classes. Yoga became a routine - indeed, a practice - for me which continued on a regular basis . After practicing and training for approximately seven years, the stars aligned and began my own journey towards yoga teacher certification. In addition to being a certified yoga teacher, I also have a Chartered Human Resources Professional designation (focused on training & development), and a Masters degree in Adult Education. It is my intention to integrate ancient wisdom with modern academic research to assist people on their quest for holistic well-being. Beyond yoga teaching, I develop and implements self-discovery and wellness related curriculum for the Toronto District School Board. I work in a Chiropractic clinic, leveraging yogic teachings for ache and pain management, and spine health. More recently, I have been drawn to the disciplines of Life Coaching and Career Guidance. This is all a part of rounding out a practice that can treat individuals with the right modalities and tools to improve wellness, alleviate paint and assist in stress management. In my spare time, I enjoy music, being in nature and exploring the unknown. |
